Letter From The Fire Chief

After incredible summer heat and a hurricane season that tested our community, the cool weather arrives.  Now, is the perfect time to have your furnace inspected by a qualified HVAC technician. This week, our first sub 50 degree weather has been a treat.

And speaking of treats, in a few days our streets will fill with children, eager to fill their bags with candies and offer tricks.  We ask that extreme care be taken as our children focus on sweets and less on street safety.  It is up to us, the adults, to help keep them safe.

Parents or guardians should accompany children.  Some quick tips for safety: trick or treat during daylight, stay in groups and if you stay out after dark, carry a flashlight and wear reflective material.  The safety of our children should be everyone's first priority.  Have a safe Fall season.
